The Wizard of Oz, Storyboard and Animatic
Script to Storyboard Translating:
During my planning process I outlined a very rough written idea of what I wanted my storyboard to be, based partly off the visual example provided, and using some of the script descriptions provided.
Thumbnails:
When sketching out my thumbnails I wanted to narrow down some ideas for camera angles and scene framing. Whilst also getting a feel for how I would draw certain characters and backgrounds in my storyboards.
Storyboards:
As can be seen above, I used roughly 11-13 shots (depending on if you count title shots) to convey my scene with the camera angles and framing that I thought best suited the provided dialogue and script. Overall I'm quite happy with how my storyboards turned out, I feel that they convey a clear idea of each shot to a potential animator.
Animatic:
I'm quite pleased with how my Animatic turned out, particularly how I managed to edit some of my planned camera movements in the opening shot. I synced the audio and transitioned my shots and edited to the best of my ability.
